CURRENT TERROR ALERT LEVEL
Hey, how ya doin'? I'm just a fairly mellow guy (w/ occasional bursts of passion and unbecoming grouchiness). Currently living in the Emerald City and lovin' it-I'm originally from Santa Barbara CA but have lived in North Carolina, Nebraska, and Oregon..
I'm into current events, politics, good micro brewed beer,good wine, and fun cocktails in fun glasses, just walkin' around lookin' at architecture (both good and bad)/nature/etc (not TOO into crowds though although Seattle crowds seem awfully nice.), Science Fiction & Fantasy (books, movies, and TV), and PC games (strategy and RPGs). I like to hike but don't do it enough-I like being in the woods and spotting critters of all sizes...um, well bears and cougars from a distance. :|
I'm also very interested in history-U.S. Revolutionary War, as well as WWII and especially the cultural changes that occurred from the 30s to the 50s. I'm into retro/atomic age stuff and I have a website for vintage ads at www.retrocitytreasures.com. I love the art, the window into history...and sometimes just the "humor"(inadvertant) stemming from the change in sensibilities over the decades.

Music ranges from Lounge type stuff, to 80s music, Oingo Boingo, Devo, Cake, Poe, The White Stripes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Killers, Garbage etc. I love havin' beers or wine and listening to music being all pretentious and discussing the influences and such. :P
My degree is in History, I left law school w/ a little over a year to go. I'll likely go back to school to get a Master's focusing on something career oriented liked conservation, archival studies, or museum studies. Maybe go for the Ph.D as I'd love to teach at the college level. For now, I take what comes along: usually customer service but I'm trying to sneak my way into a law firm. I used to have my own business selling vintage items but I'm taking a break.
